Embracing Femininity & Letting Go of Hyper-Independence

The Courage to Soften ✨

Hello dear friend,

I used to believe that I had to do everything alone. As you can imagine, I eventually found myself emotionally drained, burdened and craving community.

Hyper-independence can look like confidence, resilience, and even maturity. But beneath the surface, it’s often fear. Fear of being disappointed. Fear of needing someone who won’t show up. Fear of being a burden.

In this episode, I explore the hidden cost of carrying too much for too long, and how God gently invites us to soften, receive, and trust again. I also share how healing my relationship with my femininity helped me unlearn the need to always have it together and return to the woman God created me to be.

Here are a few takeaways from the episode:

💗 Hyper-independence is usually a trauma response. We dig into why some of us become too self-reliant and how it affects our emotional wellbeing.

💗 God never asked us to carry it all. I share biblical encouragement for surrendering the weight we were never meant to hold.

💗 Femininity is softness, not helplessness. I reflect on how reclaiming my feminine nature helped me receive love and support from others.

💗 Start with honesty. I share small but powerful ways to unlearn the “I’ve got it” mindset and make space for God and others.
